A digital radiograph is one of our most utilised pieces of technology. We can take localized and whole mouth X-rays. Digital radiographs require only 10% of the radiation of traditional x-rays, digital x-rays can be viewed almost instantly, as there is no film processing required. This is significant in providing you with a more efficient service and our staff with a safer working environment as we no longer have developing chemicals on the premises. Digital x-rays can also be adjusted for colour contrast for a more accurate diagnosis and easier explanation to you of the problem. The intra-oral camera handpiece has a built-in light source and a tiny video camera with 25 times magnification, enabling you to be an active participant in your dental treatment, so you can make treatment decisions with confidence. It is a highly advanced piece of diagnostic equipment that allows you to see on an overhead monitor what we see during your examination. After hours emergency service We understand that emergencies can happen at any time. During our practice hours, we will endeavour to see a patient with an emergency as soon as possible. After hours’ emergency treatment is available, however a call out fee will be incurred. Saturday treatment is available by appointment and an additional fee will apply. |
