Dr Jonathan Hartley
Dentist
Dr Hartley graduated from Melbourne University in 1969 and started his first practice in Clifton Hill. Jonathon is trained in hypnosis and is a member of the Australian Society of Hypnosis.
A skilled and accomplished dentist, Dr Hartley is dedicated to continuing education and has received advanced training in reconstructive and rehabilitative dentistry and trained in implant dentistry in 1975 and 1984. He has many artists as clients and one of them described him as “The Artistic Dentist – Dentist to the Artists”.
Dr Neil McGregor
Periodontist
Dr Neil McGregor has attained a Bachelor of Dental Science from the University of Sydney, a Masters Degree in Periodontics from the University of Queensland and a PhD, also from the University of Sydney. He has been involved in research with a number of different medical and dental teams at Universities in Australia, the USA and Europe, investigating: a) chronic pain aetiology and treatment; b) chronic viral infections and viral reactivation processes and treatments; c) bacterial/host immune interactions and the resultant host based pathology; and d) development of instruments to measure human pathology.
He is a Senior Fellow at the University of Melbourne and is involved in teaching postgraduate students. Dr McGregor is a consultant to a NATA accredited pathology company and to a pharmaceutical company and is the inventor of multiple international patents. Dr McGregor has published extensively in national and international peer reviewed journals and has been an editor of an international journal. He has also made multiple conference presentations both in Australia and internationally. Dr McGregor is a member of many professional bodies including the Australian Dental Association, the Australian Periodontal Society, the International Association of Dental Researchers, the Australian and New Zealand Academy of Periodontology, the Australian Academy of Craniomandibular Disorders and the Royal Australian College Dental Surgeons. He has served on many committees for these organisations.
As a distinguished practitioner, Dr McGregor provides patients of The Dentists with extensive experience in periodontics, chronic face pain and many other dental conditions.
Dr Reena Lalji
Dr Lalji graduated from Otago University, New Zealand. She has recently relocated from Sydney and has undertaken further studies at the Royal Melbourne Dental Hospital to attain a postgraduate diploma in oral implants. She has worked in private clinics on the Gold Coast and in Sydney and has a keen interest in cosmetic dentistry. Further accomplishments include her research on the “Evaluation of Bond Strength on Laser Prepared Teeth” for which she was awarded the Lumino Dental Prize.
Dr Lalji has also actively participated in various community and charity dentistry services and constantly strives to gain further knowledge through training and research.
Anh Nguyen
Dental Hygienist
Anh Nguyen is a dental therapist and hygienist. She graduated in dental health therapy in 1985 at Danang College. While working as a therapist she was involved in postgraduate teaching at Danang Paramedical College in Vietnam, before moving to Australia in 1992. She obtained her Australian qualification as a dual dental therapist and hygienist at the University of Melbourne in 2005. Her passion is for oral health care but she has an interest in beauty therapy, prompting her to qualify as a beauty therapist in 2002 at Chisholm College.
