Dr Jonathan Hartley

Dentist

Dr Hartley graduated from Melbourne University in 1969 and started his first practice in Clifton Hill. Jonathon is trained in hypnosis and is a member of the Australian Society of Hypnosis.

A skilled and accomplished dentist, Dr Hartley is dedicated to continuing education and has received advanced training in reconstructive and rehabilitative dentistry and trained in implant dentistry in 1975 and 1984. He has many artists as clients and one of them described him as “The Artistic Dentist – Dentist to the Artists”.

Dr Neil McGregor

Periodontist

Dr Neil McGregor has attained a Bachelor of Dental Science from the University of Sydney, a Masters Degree in Periodontics from the University of Queensland and a PhD, also from the University of Sydney. He has been involved in research with a number of different medical and dental teams at Universities in Australia, the USA and Europe, investigating: a) chronic pain aetiology and treatment; b) chronic viral infections and viral reactivation processes and treatments; c) bacterial/host immune interactions and the resultant host based pathology; and d) development of instruments to measure human pathology.

He is a Senior Fellow at the University of Melbourne and is involved in teaching the postgraduate students. Dr McGregor is a consultant to a NATA accredited pathology company and to a pharmaceutical company and is the inventor of multiple international patents. Dr McGregor has published extensively in national and international peer reviewed journals and has been an editor of an international Journal. He has also made multiple conference presentations both in Australia and Internationally. Dr McGregor is a member of many professional bodies including the Australian Dental Association, the Australian Periodontal Society, the International Association of Dental Researchers, the Australian and New Zealand Academy of Periodontology, the Australian Academy of Craniomandibular Disorders and the Royal Australian College Dental Surgeons. He has served on many committees for these organisations.

As a distinguished practitioner, Dr McGregor provides patients of The Dentists with extensive experience in periodontics, chronic face pain and many other dental conditions.

Steven Lipic
Dental Prosthetist (RDHM)

Steven Lipic is an Advanced Dental Technician. He has worked in the dental industry for thirteen years and received his Advanced Diploma in Dental Prosthetics from the Royal Dental Hospital of Melbourne. A dental Prosthetist specialises in the making of removable dental appliances. This includes sports mouth guards, acrylic or metal partial and full dentures. Steven provides a full range of dental appliances that he constructs with care and precision, ensuring quality with every piece he creates. He has a passion for the creation of cobalt chrome dentures (metal dentures) which he both casts and constructs in his own laboratory, unlike most who source out other laboratories to construct the metal framework leaving a larger margin for error. With a talent for flexible cosmetic partial dentures he would be the ideal choice for when you’re ready to have yours replaced. Over the years he has attended numerous training courses in the field of dental technology, including; ‘The Versacryl Concept’ a course on a versatile dental acrylic and The Merz Dental factory certified integral” Art Mimics Nature” course.

Anh Nguyen
Dental Hygienist

Anh Nguyen is a dental therapist and hygienist. She graduated in dental health therapy in 1985 at Danang College. During her career while working as a therapist she was involved in postgraduate teaching at Danang paramedical college in Vietnam, before moving to Australia in 1992. She obtained her Australian qualification as a dual dental therapist and hygienist at the university of Melbourne in 2005. Her passion is in oral health care but she has an interest in beauty therapy prompting her to qualify as a beauty therapist in 2002 at Chisholm college.
